about

Manuel Steitz is a multidisciplinary designer and researcher currently based between Eindhoven (NL) and Bruxelles (BE).

A journalistic approach, collaboration with different communities and experts, and criticality towards established commercial realities characterise his practice. The aim of his projects is to find relations across different fields and disciplines in order to create concepts that propose alternatives to the status quo.

He worked on topics such as the boredom of pigs in factory farming facilities, the problem of visualising invisible viruses, spatial object perception and microbial landscape design.

Steitz was born in Munich (DE) and studied product design and visual communication in Germany, Italy and Japan. He is currently pursuing the master’s program in Social Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
